Ghost Cat vs Ghost Dog 😋❤️
I do think there’s a life lesson hidden in these panels. So many times I have seen an outcome change in a situation simply by flipping the script and performing an unexpected act of kindness.
Sounds so cheesy, but most of the time fighting fire with fire just doesn’t work. Throw some water on that fire and sometimes those flames just get snuffed out completely.
I have found that the phrase “kill them with kindness” holds true time and time again. If I had any advice, I would even add to that phrase.
There is a book I have read many times called, “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. This book changed my life as it tilted my perspective on how to understand and deal with people. Even though it was published in 1936, all of the principles hold up today! Which is incredible!
Here are just a couple tactics to pull from this book if you find yourself in an argument...
- Apologize and let the other person do a great deal of the talking.
- Try honestly to see things from the other person's point of view.
- Be sympathetic with the other person's ideas and desires.
———————————-
And I would be remiss to not mention this phrase repeated in the book...
Be "hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise."
What does that mean?
This means finding something positive about the other person regardless of the situation and praising the crap out of it. 😋❤️
Silly as it sounds, people just want to feel important. They want to feel like you care and that you are listening and ultimately that you value them. ❤️
Sorry if I got too preachy here but these are things, I WISH I had learned earlier in my life. If I had only known about these principles, I could have avoided so many pointless and time-wasting confrontations. I could have turned the tables and made the most of my time and their time. 😖
So I really hope you enjoyed today’s silly comic and if you read my thoughts this far, I sincerely hope you got something from it. 😋❤️
Love ya all, and I’ll be back tomorrow! ❤️
